Handmade & Naturally Unique

Shelly Cubarney is an American potter whose one-of-a-kind “Green” porcelain giftware is inspired by and infused with nature — literally.

Cubarney wheel throws and hand builds each functional, artful object. Mugs. Bowls. Plates. Jewelry. Vases. Birdhouses. She delicately presses fresh cut ferns, rusty leaves, and other natural patterns into her clay forms to create her unique “fossil effect” impressions and prints. Cubarney uses a very special “earthly colorant” in her work; recovered iron and manganese runoff that once polluted Pennsylvania streams caused by abandoned mine drainage. The recovered minerals have been painstakingly reclaimed by Clean Creek Products and repurposed into pigments Cubarney uses during her glazing process, enhancing the natural texture of her designs.

Cubarney uses only premium-quality porcelain clay and lead-free glazes. Each piece is microwave and dishwasher safe. Naturally.
